ABOUT YOUR JEWELLERY MAKING TUTOR
Hi, my name is Olga.
Arts and crafts is my passion. I just love working with different materials and textures and combining them into something that I think is beautiful.
You wouldn't think that my formal qualifications are in economics and finance. I have a First Class Honours Degree in Economics and MS Degree in International Trade.
Following my graduation in 1994, I moved to London where I worked for 8 years as a Credit Risk Analyst in the City. I became a mum in 2002 and decided to concentrate on bringing up our young family and focus on my creative side!
I have been a keen painter and mosaicist since 2000. To relax in between paintings and garden mosaics I would find myself curled up on a sofa creating jewellery. My beloved family and many wonderful friends had become my first customers and before I even realised I was busy making more and more jewellery.
I have 2 wonderful childrenand found them very inquisitive about the stones I have been using and the whole jewellery making process. They often sit by my side and make jewellery with me. It is such a joy to watch them creating, mixing and matching colours and see their designs come to life.
As I have done with my children, I love to share my skills and experience with others, inspire them and make them proud of their achievements.
There is nothing better than seeing girls' or women's faces and hearing them scream with excitement when they walk into the room and see all the beautiful beads and trinkets. They love to touch, pick them up and want to start choosing and designing their jewellery straight away.
I am DBS/CRB checked, hold Public Liability Insurance and PTLLS qualification (Preparing To Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
